Cove Stories

I have sat through a lot of programs that promise to build confidence in kids and most of them fall flat by week two. The Cove is different. You can tell it was built by people who actually understand how kids learn, not just what looks good on a flyer. My students respond to the structure, the real deliverables, the fact that they walk away with something they made instead of a worksheet in a folder. I am already thinking about how this fits into our fall schedule. We are excited to partner with The Cove this school year.

We started the 31 Day Family Challenge Calendar mostly because my son was bored of our regular homeschool routine and I needed something fresh. It turned into the best part of our day. Some of the challenges took five minutes, some took a lot longer because he did not want to stop. He is nine and now tells people he is going to start a business. I did not expect a calendar to do that much.

My daughter printed out the calendar and taped it to the fridge herself. That alone told me something. We did a challenge most nights after dinner, nothing fancy, just fifteen minutes at the kitchen table. She got really into the pricing one and tried to charge her brother for “consulting.” Good stuff. Would recommend it to any parent who wants something real to do together that is not a screen.

With four kids I do not have time for anything complicated, so I was honestly skeptical the calendar would stick. It did. My older two did it together most days and even pulled in the younger ones when they could. It is short enough to fit into a busy house and simple enough that I did not have to run it myself. That matters more than people think when you have this many kids and this little time.

I picked up the 31 Day Family Challenge Calendar on a whim during a slow week and it ended up being something my daughter and I both looked forward to after work and school. She is already asking when she can do a “real” version of it. I saw that Future CEO Academy is launching and I am genuinely excited. This feels like the natural next step for her, and I want to be one of the first families to sign up.
